Life's too exciting to just do one thing.

I’m a Storyteller. Educator. Registered Dietitian.

Cooking Avoidant. 90’s R&B lover. Family room dancer. Pelotoner. Podcaster. Mom.

I like to mix things up. By trade I’m a Dietitian but my superpower is writing, and teaching through stories.

I’m the master of the pivot. A small shift can change the entire trajectory of your life. And I’m here for it.

A LITTLE BIT of this AND
A LITTLE BIT of that

I’ve never done things the easy way. That’s how I do things. I’m not afraid to try new things and when it doesn’t feel right, I pivot and do something else. I’ve had to jump through hoops to pave my own path – to create the life that works for me.

My superpower is helping dietitians learn through stories...to keep learning, stay relevant, and be the nutrition boss they’re meant to be.

My journey started in a small town in Canada where I had my path mapped out. I was gonna go to school, become an elementary school teacher, and teach. I should’ve known there were other plans for my life. I took a nutrition class as an elective my first year of college and my entire life changed – not just what I studied but where I lived. This one elective was the stimulus that moved me down to California to pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian.

From public health to clinical, management and education, writing and entrepreneurship, I find joy in living a creative life, exploring new areas and teaching others what I know. The best things in life are shared.

I Believe In:

Good friendships, laughing, cereal for dinner, comfy clothes, protecting the environment, family, not taking myself too seriously

I'm not about:

Cooking, cilantro, scary movies, sun tanning, sand, wearing shoes in the house

You can find me:

On my podcast, hanging with my kids, riding my peloton, teaching, walking

Daily Rituals:

Writing + reading, chauffeuring kids around, meditating, listening to music, red light therapy

My Favorite Things

Coffee shops. All I need is a decaf latte, some good company, a place to plug in my laptop, and a spot for people-watching. The best stories and juiciest conversations come out of the corners of local coffee shops.

Comfy, adorable, modern clothes. Tiny Button Apparel (TBA) is a clothing company for kids and adults. The owner’s my sister. All bias aside, she’s awesome and so are her products. If you’re looking for cute and cozy, check it out.

Music – especially 90’s R&B and Hip Hop. Nothing makes me feel better than a family room dance party to some 90’s/early 2000’s R&B and Hip Hop.
